Preferred’s Father’s Day Spotlight: Chris Wenning

All     by Stacy Lochtefeld

This Father’s Day is very special for Chris. This is the first year celebrating as a dad himself! Chris first became a dad at the age of 30. Him and his wife (Liz) have a happy 5 month old son, Welles.

(Q:) What is one piece of advice your parents gave you that has always stuck with you?
I wish we had some fancy saying, but just to be honest, do the right thing and to always put forth my best effort.
(Q:) What was one of your favorite childhood toys?
Anything that had to do with sports. Mostly baseball, football or basketball. When I was 3, I must of had a baseball bat I carried everywhere.
(Q:) What was one of your favorite gifts to ever receive and who gave it to you?
The gift of being a dad! Thanks, Liz!
(Q:) What is one of your most embarrassing moments?
Can’t think of any one specific moment, but there have been plenty!
(Q:) What is a favorite meal that your mom used to make you?
I was a picky kid when it came to food, I ate a lot of cereal, mom was not a short order cook…
(Q:) If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Pizza, Bread sticks and Burgers
(Q:) Describe the very first car you ever drove.
First car I drove legally was a white 1995 Pontiac Bonneville.
(Q:) What is one of your favorite things about being a dad?
Our little guy is almost 5 months, so right now it’s coming home after work and holding him. This sounds cliche, but I never knew I could love someone so much (besides my wife). It is truly indescribable.
(Q:) What is #1 on your bucket list?
To take my son to an Ohio State Football National Championship
