Black Ties And Tears For The Pink Flamingos

All, Get Involved, Living Adventures, Preferred Movement     by Stacy Lochtefeld

I’m sure you are aware that the inventor of the plastic yard flamingo, Don Featherstone, passed this week at the ripe old age of 79.  This is a very sad day for the normally energetic Preferred Insurance flamingos.  To show their respect, the pink ladies will be sporting the black bow ties for a few days.

In all seriousness, we also want to take this moment to thank you.  Our flamingos are the Preferred Insurance Center mascot and symbol of our charitable work.  We give $10 to charity every time we give a quote, as well as flamingo flocking and other fundraisers.  You have responded so strongly that we have raised or gave $60,000 to charity in the last few years.

So thanks again for your support.  Our clients, friends, and the community as a whole have made this possible.  Preferred Insurance Center, and the pink flamingos, intend to keep giving “Making A Difference”, but we know we can’t do a thing without you.
